WEG brings lift drive and control expertise to Nordic Lift Expo

With almost 300,000 lifts installed across Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway, and the average European lift now more than 25 years old, modernisation is increasingly important. At Nordic Lift Expo 2026, taking place on November 10, 2026, at Scandic Infra City, Stockholm, Sweden, WEG will demonstrate how its lift technologies can help improve the reliability, efficiency and performance of new and modernised lift systems. Visitors can find WEG at Stand 8:20.

At Nordic Lift Expo, WEG will showcase the three product lines in its ADL500 elevator drive range: the ADL510, ADL530 and ADL550. Designed to meet the demands of new and modernised lift applications, the drives support both asynchronous and synchronous motors, with lift-specific functions including precise floor positioning, smooth starting and stopping, and emergency operation.

The range also supports a wide range of encoders for accurate speed and position control in lift applications. Meanwhile, integrated lift functions help manage load-dependent starting torque, door-zone positioning and controlled deceleration.

WEG will also exhibit the EBC500 electronic brake control. The EBC500 complements the ADL500 range by providing electronic control and monitoring of the motor brakes, helping to simplify control cabinets while providing greater visibility of brake operation. It provides controlled brake opening and closing, monitors brake status and can detect brake-related faults, helping to support safe and reliable lift operation.

WEG will demonstrate how its drives and control technologies can work together as part of a complete lift automation solution. Its offering also includes dedicated control-panel components such as contactors, compact contactors, circuit protection, terminal blocks, disconnectors, push buttons and pilot lights, allowing multiple elements of the lift control system to be sourced from a single technology partner.

“The lift sector is an important area of expertise for WEG, and Nordic Lift Expo gives us an opportunity to demonstrate not just our products, but the depth of knowledge and experience behind them,” explained Karim Boudaoud, product manager at WEG Automation Europe. “Our expertise extends across the wider automation system, allowing us to bring together drives, control technologies and complementary components to provide an integrated approach to lift applications.”

Visitors to Nordic Lift Expo can find WEG at stand 8:20. More information on the ADL500 elevator drive range can be found on the WEG website.
