~ Technologies for offshore, marine and industrial applications on display in Stavanger ~
WEG, the global motor, drive and gearbox manufacturer, will exhibit at ONS 2026, taking place from August 24 to 27 in Stavanger, Norway. Visitors can find WEG in hall 5, booth 5260, where it will showcase a range of motors, drives and gearboxes developed for demanding offshore, marine and industrial environments. The display will focus on equipment designed to support reliable operation in applications where safety, uptime and performance are critical, from offshore installations to marine vessels and energy infrastructure.
Among the technologies on display will be the W51 HD motor, designed for applications where explosive gases or dust may be present. Combining High Density (HD) technology with hazardous-area certification, the motor delivers high power output from a compact frame, making it suitable for offshore platforms, processing facilities and other installations where space, safety and reliability are critical.
WEG will also exhibit the W80 AxGen axial flux motor, alongside a W22 three-phase induction motor from WEG’s general-purpose range. The W80 AxGen delivers high torque from a compact footprint and was developed for applications where reducing equipment size and weight is a priority. Meanwhile, the W22 offers a proven, versatile option for standard motor applications in offshore and industrial settings.
What’s more, visitors can learn more about WEG’s High Voltage Solutions (HVS) offering. Combining expertise in medium- and high-voltage motors, drives and associated equipment, HVS supports large-scale applications across offshore energy, marine and industrial sectors. The portfolio is designed for critical operations where reliability, performance and long-term asset availability are essential.
In addition, the stand will feature a selection of drives, including the CWF100, CFW11 and CFW900 variable speed drives (VSDs), as well as the SSW900 soft starter. These products provide motor control across applications such as pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors and auxiliary systems commonly found in offshore and marine operations.
The WG50 gearbox, part of WEG’s industrial gearbox range, will also be on show. Built for heavy-duty power transmission, the WG50 is designed with a modular construction to deliver reliable, low-maintenance performance, making it well suited to continuous-duty operations found across offshore and industrial sites.
Attendees will also be able to explore a brake motor, manufactured by Italian motor specialist Cemp, which became part of the WEG Group in 2024. Designed for applications requiring controlled stopping and holding, the motor is suitable for equipment where safety and positioning accuracy are important operational considerations.
Finally, WEG will exhibit the TCA180 marine motor from Rotor, a Netherlands-based manufacturer specialising in electric motors designed for harsh marine environments and part of the WEG Group. Built to withstand continuous duty and saltwater exposure, the TCA180 is suited to applications such as propulsion, thrusters and winches.
