~ Integrated technologies to enhance industrial performance and support a low-carbon future ~
WEG, a global company specialising in electromechanical equipment, is showcasing at Hannover Messe, Hall 12, Stand E45, a comprehensive portfolio of solutions focused on industrial automation, digitalisation, energy efficiency and electrification. These solutions are designed to address key industry challenges related to the energy transition, productivity improvement and emissions reduction.
Recognised as a global leader in the sales of low-voltage industrial electric motors, WEG combines this strong market position with a broad and integrated portfolio that connects products, automation and services across the entire energy chain, from generation to final consumption. This approach enables the company to deliver scalable and reliable solutions aligned with the technical and regulatory requirements of advanced industrial markets.
At the event, WEG is highlighting technologies that support the digitalisation of industrial processes, optimise energy consumption and modernise electrical infrastructure. These solutions contribute to more efficient, resilient and sustainable operations, reinforcing WEG’s role as a long-term technology partner for industry, beyond the supply of standalone equipment.
“Energy transition remains a central pillar of WEG’s strategy”, said Wilmar Henning, manager director at WEG Germany, “A significant share of the company’s solutions directly contributes to reducing energy consumption, lowering carbon emissions and optimising operational costs, helping to make industrial decarbonisation both technically viable and economically sustainable.”
With an established industrial presence in Germany, WEG operates four facilities in the country, including three manufacturing sites, as well as a commercial and technical centre. The company employs approximately 640 people in Germany, across key locations such as Kerpen—home to its European headquarters—as well as Homberg, Balingen and Nuremberg. Through this structure, WEG supports the European market with engineering, customisation, testing, logistics and services, combining global expertise with local execution.
In addition to its exhibition presence, WEG will host and participate in several technical sessions during the event. On April 20 at 3:30 PM, Rodrigo Fumo, Vice President Motors, will present “65 years of engineering efficiency”, covering WEG’s development from its origins in Brazil to its current role in advancing the energy transition. This session requires advance registration by April 15 due to limited capacity.
On April 22 at 1:00 PM, WEG will deliver a technical presentation on battery energy storage systems (BESS) at the INNO Hybat Congress, also requiring prior registration. On April 23, the company will present its technologies across the hydrogen supply chain at Hydrogen + Fuel Cells EUROPE at 1:40 PM in Hall 11, Stand E20, followed by a session at 2:30 PM at the Brazilian Pavilion in Hall 12 focusing on the role of WEG BESS solutions in scaling renewable energy.
