~ Manufacturer to showcase high-efficiency solutions for the energy transition~
WEG, a leading industrial motor manufacturer, will be participating in Ecomondo 2025 in Rimini, Italy, from 4 to 7 November 2025. At the exhibition, WEG will present a wide portfolio of integrated industrial systems designed to reduce energy consumption and optimise operational efficiency. Visitors can find WEG at stand 408, pavilion B5 (Biogas Pavilion), where the company will showcase its latest energy-efficient industrial solutions.
At the heart of WEG’s exhibition is the W23 Sync+ synchronous motor, a high-efficiency design engineered to deliver exceptional performance while significantly reducing CO₂ impact. By utilising hybrid permanent magnet (PM) and synchronous reluctance (SynRM) technology, the W23 Sync+ goes beyond current industry standards with IE5 efficiency classification, offering a compact and reliable system capable of meeting the stringent demands of modern biogas and industrial facilities.
When integrated with a WEG EDP11-series Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) panel, this motor forms a fully integrated solution that ensures precise control and optimal energy use. Ideal for renewable energy applications such as wind power and solar tracking systems, the combination delivers superior performance, high energy efficiency and dependable operational reliability.
At the stand, visitors will also discover products from Cemp, the Italian specialist in hazardous area motors acquired by WEG in 2024. WEG will present its explosion proof (Ex d) and increased safety (Ex e) motors. These are designed for hazardous area applications in Zones 1/21 and 2/22, offering safe and dependable performance in challenging environments.
These motors will be displayed alongside the WG20 gearboxes, which feature a compact, modular design available in helical, parallel shaft and helical bevel configurations. This pairing of the WG20 C08 gearbox and Cemp motors exemplifies the company’s approach to robust, space-saving and dependable drive solutions that operate safely in demanding industrial conditions.
WEG will also showcase its Motion Fleet Management (MFM) monitoring system. Part of the WEG Digital Solutions portfolio, MFM can be installed on motors to provide real-time performance insights, enhancing operational reliability and enabling predictive maintenance strategies. This integrated digital approach underscores WEG’s commitment to delivering complete, intelligent and sustainable industrial solutions.
“Our solutions deliver precise control and high energy efficiency for critical processes in the biogas industry, from gas compression to energy generation,” said Fabrizio Arosio, motion drives and automation manager at WEG Italy. “By combining advanced engineering with low environmental impact, we support the evolving needs of biogas plants and renewable energy facilities worldwide.”
