~ Manufacturer to showcase high-efficiency solutions for the energy sector ~
WEG, a leading manufacturer of efficient electrical equipment, will exhibit at Gastech 2025, the world’s largest exhibition and conference for natural gas, LNG, hydrogen, climate technologies and AI in energy. Held from September 9 to 12 at Fiera Milano, Italy, this premier event brings together leaders, policymakers and innovators from the energy sector to transform the future of energy. WEG invites attendees to visit its experts and discover groundbreaking technologies at stand J71.
At the exhibition, WEG will present a wide portfolio of integrated systems designed to meet the demands of today’s energy sector. These include solutions for power generation, electrification and process control, all engineered to enhance efficiency, safety and environmental performance in challenging industrial environments such as LNG infrastructure, offshore platforms and hazardous areas.
Among the technologies on display will be WEG’s advanced energy generation and storage systems. These encompass renewable and distributed generation equipment such as hydro, wind, steam and biomass generators, along with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). By storing clean energy and providing grid stability, the BESS mitigates the intermittency of renewable power sources, enhancing energy security and supporting a reliable transition to sustainable power generation.
Its modular, pre-assembled e-House solutions, designed to simplify the deployment of automation and electrical infrastructure in demanding environments. These units are factory-tested and engineered to reduce on-site civil works while ensuring safe and flexible integration. With over 10 GW of installed capacity worldwide, WEG offers scalable, turnkey solutions to help customers reduce emissions and strengthen grid reliability.
Another key solution to be showcased is the MVW3000 medium-voltage drive, which provides robust speed control for compressors, pumps and fans. Featuring a compact design and cascaded H-bridge topology, the drive offers high efficiency, reduced harmonic distortion and ease of installation across voltage ranges up to 13.8 kV.
WEG will also present its W22Xdb flameproof motors, certified to ATEX and IECEx standards and perfect for hazardous area applications. These high-efficiency motors are suitable for Zone 1/2 and dust environments, and deliver reliable performance in petrochemical, offshore and other high-risk industrial settings.
Fabrizio Arosio, Motion Drives & Automation Manager at WEG Italia, commented, “Participating at Gastech for the first time highlights WEG’s growing commitment to the energy sector, particularly here in Italy. The W22Xdb motor is a testament to our engineering expertise, offering excellent power density and efficiency, which are critical for hazardous and space-constrained environments.”
WEG’s participation at Gastech reflects its broader commitment to supporting the global energy transition. Through its extensive product range and application knowledge, WEG helps customers lower energy consumption, improve reliability and reduce emissions in line with their sustainability goals.
