WEG displays efficient technologies at Middle East Energy

Leading industrial motor and alternator manufacturer WEG is set to showcase its latest energy solutions at Middle East Energy 2025, taking place from April 7-9, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Exhibiting from stand S3.B51, WEG will demonstrate how its motors, drives, alternators and digital technologies are shaping the future of automation, renewable energy and motor efficiency — reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.

WEG will showcase a lineup of high-efficiency alternators designed to meet the evolving needs of the Middle East and African markets. Delivered by Marathon, an industrial equipment manufacturer acquired by WEG last year, these products are designed to cater to a diverse array of applications. Marathon alternators offer versatility with customisable options for horsepower, revolutions per minute and voltage requirements.

At the exhibition, WEG will launch the new triphasic AW10 180, a high-performance synchronous alternator engineered to meet international standards such as IEC 60034, NEMA MG1, NBR 5117 and ISO 8528. Engineered for versatility, it is suitable for standby, continuous and prime power applications. Featuring a robust four-pole design and a voltage range spanning from 190V to 480V, it delivers stable power generation across various industrial settings. In addition to this, visitors can see the AG10 alternator in frame sizes 400 and the 360 alternator. Available up to 4,200 kVA, the AG10 lines are suitable for all emergency, prime power or continuous operation.

The company will also showcase the W80 AXgen, an axial flux motor developed to meet the increasing demand for compact and sustainable solutions. Unlike traditional radial flux motors, its unique design enhances torque and performance while reducing size and weight. With frame sizes ranging from 250 to 400, the motor offers greater flexibility for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and system integrators, helping to optimise industrial applications while lowering logistics costs and reducing their carbon footprint.

Other highlights include the ADV200-SP drive, a variable frequency drive designed specifically for solar-powered water pumping systems. This innovation leverages WEG’s expertise in industrial drive technology, integrating capabilities from the existing ADV200 inverter with advanced solar and pump applications. By converting photovoltaic energy into hydraulic power, the drive enables cost-effective water management solutions for agricultural and industrial use.

Another key innovation on display will be the W23 Sync+ motor paired with the CFW900 drive — an energy efficient combination designed to optimise motor performance and extend equipment lifespan. This hybrid permanent magnet (PM) and synchronous reluctance (SynRM) motor technology, delivers superior energy efficiency in challenging environments. Exceeding current industry standards, it sets a new benchmark by surpassing the anticipated IE6 efficiency levels.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore WEG’s Motion Fleet Management (MFM) system, presented through a dedicated demo unit. This cloud-based platform, combined with WEGscan technologies, offers real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance for motors and drives. By equipping businesses with the tools to enhance performance and minimise downtime, the system supports greater operational efficiency and reliability.

“We empower businesses to optimise their operations while significantly reducing their environmental impact,” said Marek Lukaszczyk, UK & Middle East Marketing Manager. “Middle East Energy is a key platform for us to engage with industry leaders and we look forward to showcasing how WEG’s innovations are driving the transition toward more sustainable and energy-efficient systems.”
