~ Motor and drives specialist showcases innovations at leading water exhibition ~
Global industry equipment manufacturer, WEG will exhibit at Aqua Nederland 2025, the Netherlands’ leading event for water technology and management taking place from March 18 to 20 at Evenementenhal Gorinchem. From stand D03, WEG will showcase its latest drives, motors and digital solutions designed to enhance efficiency and reliability in the water sector.
The water market faces major challenges and is under increasing pressure to reduce costs and enhance customer value. To tackle this, regulators and water companies are emphasising life-cycle cost reduction through innovation, energy efficiency and maintenance optimisation.
WEG will present different products to tackle these challenges, like the W23 Sync+ motor paired with the CFW900 drive, an advanced solution for optimising motor performance and extending equipment lifespan. The permanent magnet/reluctance hybrid motor has been designed for superior energy performance in challenging environments. Engineered to surpass current standards, this motor offers an unprecedented level of energy efficiency, surpassing the anticipated IE6 levels.
The team will also showcase the WG20 gearbox range, engineered for efficiency and durability. The gearbox offers a compact and modular design — including helical, parallel shaft and helical bevel — suitable for a variety of industrial applications. The WEG team will also be available to discuss the capabilities of the new WG20S helical worm geared motor. Offering torque capabilities of up to 1600 Nm, the WG20S can be founding the latest WG20 brochure.[EN1]
Visitors will be able to discuss the recently launched W80 AXgen motor, designed for demanding environments. This motor delivers high performance and energy savings to support sustainable operations. The motor is equipped with an advanced cooling system that supports fresh or deionised water and oil (ISO VG up to 46). With flow rates of five to 15 litres per minute and an inlet pressure of up to ten bar, it ensures reliable performance even in the most challenging conditions.
Visitors can also see the CFW500 variable speed drive. This drive provides precise control, improving process efficiency and reducing energy consumption. The new washdown version, featuring a NEMA 4X/IP66 protection rating, enhances durability by safeguarding against dust and high-pressure water jets.
The highlight of the digital solutions will be the WEGSEE+ touchscreen, an intuitive tool that enhances operational control by offering a user-friendly interface for monitoring and managing industrial processes. Equipped with advanced simulation and analysis capabilities, WEGSEE+ enables users to measure the potential for energy savings, calculate the return on investment and evaluate the potential to avoid or reduce GHG emissions.
“By participating in Aqua Nederland 2025, WEG reinforces its commitment to providing innovative solutions for the entire water cycle, from wastewater treatment to drinking water and urban water management,” commented Marieke Denissen, team leader for order administration at WEG Netherlands. “Visit stand D03 to discover how WEG’s advanced drive solutions can enhance industrial performance and sustainability.”
