New hires for WEG Scandinavia

WEG Scandinavia welcomes new team members to support growth in the region

Global motor manufacturer, WEG has significantly invested in its team in Scandinavia with the addition of four new senior hires. The new employees will help the company continue to deliver top-quality geared motors and other power transmission solutions to customers across Scandinavia, following a year of significant growth for the WEG branch.

Roger Persson has joined the team as Nordic business development manager for gearboxes — a core product range for WEG globally and a growing area for North Europe. Roger will be responsible for promoting growth in the Nordic market for WEG’s gearbox product line, including the WG20, a new generation of geared motors that is manufactured entirely in house by WEG.

Mikael Zaar has also joined the WEG Scandinavia sales team as Nordic business development manager for frequency drives. Mikael’s expertise will be essential in consolidating the company’s position in the Nordic drives market. His proven track record and commitment to customer satisfaction will contribute to the company’s continued success.

Mats Mellberg has come on board as technical and project engineer for LV motors. Mats will be joining the technical sales team in Sweden — at WEG’s Scandinavian headquarters — where he will offer technical support and manage projects related to LV motor solutions. His comprehensive engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills will prove to be essential as WEG continues to expand this business area.

Further additions to the technical sales team include Andreas Olsson, taking on the role of Technical and Project Engineer for LV Motors along with Felipe Boeger Tezza. Tezza is now based in WEG’s newly established sales structure in Denmark, having completed a comprehensive training period at WSC in Sweden. With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a diverse career background that includes manufacturing engineering in the automotive industry and experience at WEG Motors in Brazil within the international sales division.

Additionally, Fredrik Erlandsson, who initially served as a consultant in WEG Scandinavia’s warehouse, has now become an official part of the team in the role of a warehouse worker.

Lastly, Marco Aurelio Correa has been appointed as sales supervisor for LV drives and gearboxes. Marco will lead the internal sales team in the Nordic countries, focusing on maintaining strong customer relationships. His extensive sales and leadership experience make him an ideal candidate for this position. Aurelio Correa’s appointment follows WEG’s global launch of the CFW900 drive, the latest variable speed drive from WEG.

“WEG Scandinavia is committed to providing the highest quality geared motors, gearboxes, and other power transmission solutions to customers across the Nordic region and beyond,” explained Anders Näzell, managing director of WEG Scandinavia “With the addition of these new senior hires, the company is better positioned than ever to deliver on that commitment.”
